Vinton County Wild Turkey Festival

Watch the downtown streets of McArthur come alive with food, music, and fun for the whole family during the first full weekend in May. The festival includes activities such as great nightly entertainment on the sound stage, carnival rides and games, car show, quilt show, queen’s and baby contests.   Past performers have included entertainers like Neil McCoy, Eden’s Edge, Randy Moore and the Fabulous Suedes and Confederate Railroad.

The festival opens on Thursday evening and runs through Sunday afternoon.  The Grand parade is always held at 6 p.m. on Saturday and is followed by the crowning of the Wild Turkey Festival Queen.
