The Vinton County Airport hosts the largest free air show in Ohio. Event features plane rides, acrobatic flying, RC flying and all sorts of fun in the skies. Day also features some of the best chicken bbq in Ohio. Admission is free but parking donations are requested. In 2010, the Vinton County Air Show, one of the premiere
attractions of the year in southeast Ohio, takes
place Sunday, September 19. The airport’s famous barbecue chicken
dinners will be served beginning at about 11 a.m.
and the air show will begin at noon with skydivers.
Following the show, pilots from the Vinton County
Pilots and Boosters Association will provide
airplane rides. There will be vendors and, near the
end of the day, there will be a candy drop for the
youngsters.
The Vinton County Airport is located about 6 miles
north of McArthur, just off St. Rt. 93 on Airport
Road. Pilots fly to 22I.
Admission
to the air show is free, but parking donations are
accepted.

June 12, Radio Controlled Fly-In – This fly-in for remote
controlled aircraft will bring out the kid in you.
Food will be available. Held at the Vinton County
Airport. The Vinton County Airport R/C Airshow is a one day only event this year. It will be only on Saturday from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. (740-385-9392)
